“Oh, we got trouble, right here in River City” as music con man Harold Hill convinces the town that he is a band director with his glib-tongued, thimble-rigged, fleet-footed escapades. Hill has the town folk in the palm of his hand until love teaches him a thing or two. Winner of six Tony Awards, The Music Man is one of the most beloved and performed American musicals of all time. Titanic is based on the true story of the great ship's maiden voyage. This show captures the exhilaration surrounding this technological wonder and the hopes and dreams of the many people who were on board. It is both serious and entertaining as it chronicles the actions of the ship's crew, as well as a wide array of passengers, touching on issues such as class, immigration, and mankind's vulnerability in the face of nature. The aspirations of these individuals are brought to light, and their character revealed as they deal with their inevitable fate once the boat strikes an iceberg. Titanic, the Musical, won five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Score. This show does not resemble the popular 1997 movie of the same name. Director: Brad Garnaat Assistant Director: Sandra Hoffbeck Production Manager: Cheryl Claussen
